Croda has advanced its Tween 20 technology to offer three new polysorbates with differentiated characteristics and improved benefits for modern formulations. Tween 20 has long been established as an effective adjuvant for in-line and added-to-tank applications with a favorable environmental and toxicological profile. These new Tweens allow drug manufacturers to increase performance with trusted and familiar chemistry.
Tween 22, Tween 23 and Tween 24 offer improved surface activity to provide better wetting, lower equilibrium surface tension (EST) and lower contact angle compared to Tween 20. Easy to use, they also show improved performance with a variety of hydrophilic herbicides, all with minimal registration impact due to having the same CAS as Tween 20. This product is suitable for use as an inert ingredient in combination with permitted active pesticide ingredients in accordance with the US NOP. Classes from the OMRI list are available.
