Description
Clays are formed as a result of the decomposition of rocks by erosion. They differ according to the type of rock from which they come, the climate or the topography of the soil. They are classified by chemical structure (illite, kaolinite, montmorillonite, etc.) and color.
ER red clay is mined in Auvergne and consists of kaolin and illite-type clay. Its red color comes from the rich content of oxidized iron. It is credited with soothing properties and benefits that are ideal for reducing diffuse skin redness and brightening the complexion.
