COBIUTY is the extract of the fruit pulp of Mauritia flexuosa L., also known as Miriti, Buriti or Aguaje, it is a palm tree species native to the Peruvian Amazon.
Aguaje is one of the most important palms in Amazonia for its economic, social and ecological value, including its role in aquatic ecosystems and its many cultural uses, especially its fruit.
It is the richest plant source of carotenoids (vitamin A / Retinol), tocopherols (vitamin E) and vitamin C, potent antioxidants capable of neutralizing and protecting the skin from free radicals.
While it is common to find Buriti oil extract, COBIUTY is the first cosmetic active ingredient based on its pulp extract and to elaborate it we upcycle the agricultural by-product generated after buriti fruits are pressed to obtain its oil.
