Wild water mint is common throughout Europe, North and South America, and is cultivated in Africa and Asia. Water mint is a plant of swamps and cool places near fresh water bodies, ditches, ponds, streams, rivers... Like all types of mint, it has an aroma, and it is also called a green balm, as it fights certain skin irritations. Cosmetic extracts of wild water mint can be used in cosmetics as a refreshing and stimulating ingredient, as well as in oral care products.
