French Lavender Extract

Originally from Persia, this thousand-year-old plant is known as precious, which is used in high-quality products today. Lavender was already used by the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans to scent baths and clean clothes. It has also been used in personal care due to its refreshing and antibacterial properties. For centuries, lavender has been distilled in Provence to make perfume. The rare scents of lavender, jasmine, rose or mimosa really earned Grasse (South of France) the title of perfume capital of the world. Lavender is a well-known calming herb and a powerful antiseptic. Pharmaceutically, lavender, especially its essential oil, is used as an antiseptic, relaxant, and is also effective against painful and inflamed insect bites, for wound healing, and for treating asthma. In cosmetics, lavender is used in soothing bath products, as well as in the perfume and soap industries.
