Fruitliquid™ Cloudberry

Called lakka in Finland, cloudberry is a creeping blackberry that grows in peatlands and bogs around Scandinavia and Alaska. Considered a glacial relic, cloudberry can withstand temperatures down to -40°C. Having reached maturity, the cloudberry has a golden color and a pleasant taste. It is one of the scarcest and most expensive berries in the world due to its limited harvest season and limited availability. Cloudberry is well adapted to boreal regions thanks to its secondary metabolites, which act as protection against environmental influences: the amount of soluble carbohydrates in the plant correlates with resistance to severe frosts. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, vitamins A, C, E and ellagitannins, it can counteract the harmful effects of the sun.
