Heliami™ Sea Fennel EC

Sea fennel grows near the coast, especially along the Mediterranean, Atlantic, English Channel and Black Seas. This small, umbrella-shaped, hardy plant grows both in rock cavities and on sand dunes. Its habitat is the edge of the tides, where sea spray enters. Therefore, sea fennel is often the last plant seen before reaching the sea. Its creeping roots can reach 5 m in length. They are firmly fixed in the gorges of the rocks. Sea fennel has been a very popular medicinal plant since ancient times. It was later shunned, except by sailors who took it with them to sea to ward off scurvy (due to its richness in vitamin C). Sea fennel was also believed to improve the eyesight of sailors. The name "Sea Fennel" comes from this similar, though slightly saltier taste. Sea fennel oil extract contains lipids and some vitamins and carotenes with regenerating and antioxidant properties. Like other Heliami™ ingredients, this organic plant-based product is extracted with high-oleic sunflower oil, which is more effective at maintaining the integrity of the skin barrier and preventing skin dehydration compared to regular sunflower oil.
